Passkey
A digital key stored on your phone that replaces your password.
Instead of remembering a password, your device keeps a pair of cryptographic keys. The private half never leaves your phone, so there is nothing for a fake website to steal. Signing in becomes a face scan or fingerprint.
“The site let me create a passkey, so now I log in with my fingerprint instead of a password.”
